Ohhh, the pain...
I'm not fishing for sympathy or anything, but I spent most of this morning in the doctor's office being diagnosed with yet another round of gout. I hope none of you guys ever have to experience this condition, because it is one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. On the upside, it means I get to sit around with my foot propped up watching crappy daytime television for the next couple of days.

This Blog will be a more constructive use of my energy than just screaming at the walls. It will be my ravings about politics, society, popular culture and plenty of things most people really don't care too much about.
I'm a recovering journalist who finally left the rat race to my quiet public library where I can actually do some good. I grew up in a small town and have finally returned to that same small town, something which I said I would never do. But I have managed to find some peace of mind among the familiar hills and valleys of what is truly home.
