...I got to turn down an offer of a job this past weekend. Apparantly, one of my former co-workers had mentioned my name to someone opening up some new weekly papers in the state. It felt good to tell them I was absolutely not interested in being one of two people being hired to put out a paper each week.

This Blog will be a more constructive use of my energy than just screaming at the walls. It will be my ravings about politics, society, popular culture and plenty of things most people really don't care too much about.
I'm a recovering journalist who finally left the rat race to my quiet public library where I can actually do some good. I grew up in a small town and have finally returned to that same small town, something which I said I would never do. But I have managed to find some peace of mind among the familiar hills and valleys of what is truly home.
