Long-time ABC news anchor Peter Jennings lost his battle withlung cancer today at the age of 67.
While I have been out of the journalism business for over a year now, I am still saddened by the passing of someone like Jennings. He always seem professional and respectable, never grabbing the headline with on-the-air and off-the-air comments and antics like his CBS rival Dan Rather. He will be missed.

This Blog will be a more constructive use of my energy than just screaming at the walls. It will be my ravings about politics, society, popular culture and plenty of things most people really don't care too much about.
I'm a recovering journalist who finally left the rat race to my quiet public library where I can actually do some good. I grew up in a small town and have finally returned to that same small town, something which I said I would never do. But I have managed to find some peace of mind among the familiar hills and valleys of what is truly home.
