In reading and hear all the news and jokes about the Paris Hilton Sex Video during the past week, I have just one question: Who the hell is Paris Hilton?

I wonder if they know Hotty Toddy?
This story about Radical Cheerleaders leaves me with several questions. It says many of them wear red and black uniforms, because red and black are the "unoffical anachist team colors." But wouldn't an anarchist team be a contridiction in terms? I mean, if they actually played, one guy would be playing by football rules, one by curling rules and one by scrabble rules. And what would their mascot be Rowdy Anarchist or Anarchist Bruiser? I think these are the important questions which need answers. Even if the answers are just made up or are answers to entirely different questions.

Looking for that special piece of software
I'm wrapping up my latest D&D game, or at least about to get bored enough with it to quit playing, and I'm looking for a new video game to obsess on for the next few months. Any suggestions? Remember - Mac compatible.

Sulu in Arkansas
While George Takei was in Arkansas, he left Bill Clinton a copy of his book for the Presidential Library. Which brings us to the question Which series was Clinton's favorite? If this guy's right it would be DS9. But, if you remember the SNL sketch, "Clinton" said he was a TOS fan, I believe. If anyone can find any evidence as to which series is Clinton's favorite, I'll award you 50 bonus points toward winning an autographed copy of my autobiography, once I write it. (Autographed by some one else, that is, not me. My signature will be way too valuable to just be given out freely.)

Senator Stuart Smalley?
As much as I like Al Franken, as much as I agree with his political views, as much as I think it would really be entertaining, I think running for the Senate would be a bad idea. That would be a pretty big pay cut.

This Blog will be a more constructive use of my energy than just screaming at the walls. It will be my ravings about politics, society, popular culture and plenty of things most people really don't care too much about.
I'm a recovering journalist who finally left the rat race to my quiet public library where I can actually do some good. I grew up in a small town and have finally returned to that same small town, something which I said I would never do. But I have managed to find some peace of mind among the familiar hills and valleys of what is truly home.
