Elvis sighting
Elvis Costello is playing Oxford this weekend after spending two weeks recording in Oxford. Just think, Art Garfunkle and Elvis Costello in Oxford in one week. The mind boggles.

Possible interesting reunion
Anyone who might be in Oxford for the Double Decker Festival will get a chance to see a reunion of Beanland. It will be fun to see them back together again one more time.

The Star Trek Channel
If you were programming a 24-hour Star Trek Network, would you use the science shows narrated by Trek cats members? Plus, who do you consider the best Trek voice over artist. There was a Shatner followed by a Brooks last night. I fell asleep before the third show came on, but I'm sure it was narrated by a Trek voice as well.

Air America begins
Today was the big day for all those just waiting in anxious anticipation for the debut of a liberal radio network. Air America Radio began broadcasting its subversive liberal, anti-American message in six whole radio markets across the nation. As a godless liberal, I was gald to find they offered their fare over streaming audio. I caught a chunk of The O'Frankin Factor, the vehicle for one of my comedic heroes Al Frankin (I loved him from the hey days of Saturday Night Live.) It was a lukewarm debut at best. Hopefully, it will get better. But I don't think radio is necessarily the best venue for Frankin, Janeane Garofalo, and some of the others. We'll see.

Star Trek Shatner?: The Next Generation
What better way to revive the blog than with some Trek news. The man himself has submitted a proposal for a two-part Enterprise episode in which he will appear as Kirk. At this point, I say let Shatner do what he wants. Not to be morbid or anything, but he and the remaining origonal cast aren't getting any younger. Use 'em while they can. But, I guess it all depends on what UPN decides to do with the troubled show.

The sleeper awakens
After a number of blogless weeks, I have returned.
